Amber Tarbet - PT |
Amber has been in the physical therapy industry since she was 16 years old in Dallas, TX. In high school, she worked a privately owned outpatient physical therapy clinic as a PT technician. She loved working with the patients so much, that she enrolled in The University of Texas in 1996 pursing a Biology degree. Once she obtained her Bachelor’s degree, she was accepted into the Physical Therapy program at Texas Woman’s University in 2000. Amber has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient, inpatient, acute care, SNF, home health and hippotherapy (utilizing the horse as a treatment tool). She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Pediatric of the APTA. She also has her certification under Virginia’s direct access. Amber enjoys treating all orthopedic conditions, especially post-operative and sports related injuries.
Amber was born and raised in Texas and spent 4 years in Sarasota, FL prior to moving to Virginia in 2025. Her passions include reading, spending time with her husband and teenage children, and anything equine related. When Amber is not in the clinic, you will find her teaching therapeutic riding lessons at a local barn!
